Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Aura Metric (the "App") and the website at aurametricapp.com (the "Site"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms.
The App is provided by Yuri Nascimento de Melo ("we", "us"). Contact: support@aurametricapp.com.
1. What the App does
Aura Metric is a personal-finance and decision-support tool for rideshare drivers. It estimates Take-Home, dollars per hour, dollars per mile, and other ride economics based on offer details you capture (via screenshot) and the cost settings you enter. It also generates schedules, hotspot zones, and event suggestions to help you plan your day.
The App does not connect to any rideshare platform. It does not log into Uber, Lyft, 99, DiDi, Bolt, or any other service. It cannot accept or decline rides on your behalf. All decisions are yours.
2. Estimates are not guarantees
All numbers produced by the App — Take-Home, $/hour, $/mile, schedule recommendations, surge predictions, airport flight estimates — are estimates derived from the data you provide and from publicly available averages. They are not guarantees of earnings, accuracy, or outcomes. Actual results depend on your driving, your local market, your vehicle, customer behavior, and many factors outside our control.
3. Account and access
The App does not require you to create an account with us. We do not have a username, password, or profile for you. Access to premium features is gated by a subscription through Apple's App Store.
4. Subscriptions, billing, and renewals
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your Apple ID is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
- Tier prices and durations are shown in the App before purchase.
- You can manage and cancel subscriptions in iOS Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions.
5. Refunds
All purchases are processed by Apple. Refund requests go through Apple's standard refund process at reportaproblem.apple.com. We do not process refunds directly because we do not handle payments.
6. Free trial
A 3-day free trial is offered. The subscription automatically converts to paid at the end of the trial unless you cancel before it ends. To avoid being charged, cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends in iOS Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions.
7. Acceptable use
- Don't use the App to violate the terms of any rideshare platform.
- Don't reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code beyond what applicable law permits.
- Don't use the App to commit fraud, harass others, or harm anyone.
- Don't resell, sublicense, or commercially distribute the App.
8. Intellectual property
The App, the Site, and associated content (other than your trip data, which belongs to you) are our intellectual property or that of our licensors. You're granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App on a compatible iOS device for your personal driving business.
9. Third-party services
The App uses Anthropic's Claude API for AI features, Apple StoreKit for purchases, WeatherKit for forecasts, MapKit for maps, and Sentry for anonymous crash diagnostics. Your use of those services is also subject to their respective terms. Outages or errors in those services may affect App functionality.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall we be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of or inability to use the App. Our total liability shall not exceed the greater of $50 USD or what you've paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
12. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may terminate access if you violate these Terms. Cancellation and refund handling follow Apple's standard process.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws provisions.
