Setup guides
How do I set up RideChecker?
Open Aura Metric → Settings → RideChecker → Setup Guide. Follow the prompts to install the "Check Ride" Shortcut and add the AssistiveTouch shortcut. When an offer appears in Uber/Lyft, tap your AssistiveTouch button — you'll get an instant Accept / Maybe / Decline verdict.
How do I set up my Vehicle & Costs?
Settings → Vehicle & Costs. Pick vehicle type (Gas / Hybrid / Electric). Enter fuel price, efficiency, insurance, car payment, and maintenance budget. Enter typical miles and hours per week. Optionally adjust Dead Miles % (default 25%) and Tax Rate % (default 0%). Tap Save.
How do I back up my trips?
Settings → Data → Data Backup → Export Trips to CSV. Use the iOS share sheet to AirDrop to your Mac, email it, or save to iCloud Drive / Files. To restore: same screen, tap Import Trips from CSV and pick the file.
How do I cancel my subscription?
iOS Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions → Aura Metric → Cancel. Two taps. The subscription stays active until the end of the current billing period.
How do I request a refund?
Refunds for App Store purchases are processed by Apple. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, find Aura Metric, tap Report a Problem.
Troubleshooting
RideChecker says "Cannot read this screenshot."
Usually the screenshot doesn't contain a clear ride offer, or numbers aren't visible. Take a fresh screenshot with the full offer visible, or use manual trip entry from the Trips tab.
Take-Home shows $0 or "—".
Take-Home uses your Vehicle & Costs. If those aren't filled in, Aura Metric falls back to gross earnings. Go to Settings → Vehicle & Costs and enter fuel price, efficiency, miles per week, and hours per week.
The Live Activity doesn't show in my Dynamic Island.
Make sure Live Activities are enabled (iOS Settings → Aura Metric → Live Activities). If both Uber's and Lyft's apps are running their own Live Activities, iOS chooses which one to show — Aura Metric still appears in the pulled-down view.
The Airport tab shows no flights or only a few hours.
Tap the refresh button (circular arrow icon top-right of the airport card) to regenerate. The chart should show all 24 hours, scrolled to the current hour.
My location is wrong.
Settings → Location → type your city by hand or tap "Use My Location" to re-detect. Aura Metric uses your city to generate Zones, Schedule, and Events.
